About

I’m Liza Rock, the artist behind Rock n’ Glitz. Creativity has always been a part of who I am. For many years I expressed that creativity through macro photography, capturing the beauty and intricate details found in nature.

Living with Ehlers Danlos syndrome, a rare genetic connective tissue disorder, changed the direction of my creative journey. While my health made it difficult to continue photography, it also led me back to another lifelong passion: gemstones and jewelry design.

Today I create one of a kind pieces with a focus on wire wrapped jewelry. I also curate beautiful cabochons and mineral specimens for collectors and fellow artists. Each piece is made with care and intention and inspired by the natural world I love.

When I’m not wrapping stones you’ll usually find me caring for my cats, reptiles and invertebrates, growing unusual plants, listening to music or dreaming of the ocean. I live in Florida with my husband and son, where I’m never too far from the natural world that continues to inspire me. As a former scuba diver I’m still inspired by the beauty and incredible diversity of marine life.

Thank you for visiting Rock n’ Glitz. I hope you find a piece that speaks to you.
